How much does a Pepper Club membership cost?
Sun, Spa or Spray is $69 a month, versus $99 for Pick Any 2, including K-11 + SUN. VIP is $129 and includes everything, so it is the simplest choice if you use several services.

Freeze: any tier can be frozen for $5 a month and picked up again later, so you keep your rate. Cancel or freeze: at least one day before your next billing date, on the membership page or in the salon.
How do I get started at a Chili Pepper’s salon?
Walk in with your photo ID, and a certified consultant then sets your starting level. After that, you either pay per session or join the Pepper Club.
Step by step
- First, walk in at any salon during opening hours. No appointment is needed; an airbrush tan, on the other hand, depends on a technician being in, so call first.
- Next, bring your photo ID (a driver’s license, for example). Anyone under 18 also needs signed parental permission before the first UV session. According to Michigan law (Michigan Compiled Laws 333.13405), the parent or legal guardian must be present to sign.
- Then a certified consultant sets your starting level and explains the lotions.
- Finally, pay per session, or join the Pepper Club for unlimited visits.
What are Chili Pepper’s hours?
Most salons open 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday to Friday. Saturday is 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm; however, a few close earlier on Sunday.
Exceptions
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Sunday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
For example, Brighton, Fort Gratiot and Richmond close at 4:00 pm on Sunday. Franchise salons also set their own hours, so check your salon’s page before a visit.

Do I need an appointment to tan?
No. Every Chili Pepper’s salon is walk-in only, so you can come in whenever suits you. However, for an airbrush tan we recommend calling first so a technician is available.
How old do I have to be to tan without my parent's consent?
Sixteen for a UV-free Spray Tan or eighteen for UV tanning. Chili Pepper's Tanning & Wellness requires signed parental permission for anyone under 18.
Parental permission
A parent or legal guardian must be present with photo ID to sign the Release Form before tanning the first time.
According to Michigan state law (Michigan Compiled Laws 333.13405), the parent or legal guardian of a customer under 18 must sign the written statement. They must also be physically present at the salon when they sign.
